Key Skills Essential for Teacher:
Someone once said that a manager is as good as employees working under his supervision. We can amend this by saying that a teacher is as good as his or her students. The way your students progress in their lives, says a lot about your capabilities and expertise. One of the most important skills required for being a teacher is to keep the students interested in the subject and keep them motivated about learning new things. The students, especially young kids are very difficult to deal with because of their sensitive age and learning process where they quickly grab to anything that occurs in front of them. Other common skills might include; full knowledge of the subject that you are teaching, knowledge of common and advanced teaching techniques to keep the students interested and being patient. Patience is what matters the most for teachers because handling all kinds of students with different personalities is not easy. You will need patience when a student doesn’t seem to learn a concept regardless of how much you have explained it to him. Other skills might include; excellent communication skills, confidence in their capabilities, enthusiasm, conflict resolution and excellent management skills.
Professional References for Teacher:
Even though lying on your resume about your education or experience won’t benefit you for longer and sooner or later you are going to get into trouble but still many people lie on their resumes about their education and especially about their previous experience. If it wasn’t for the references, the employers won’t be able to tell if the applicant has the experience that he is claiming on the job application or just lying about it. When you provide a list of professional references on your resume, this can include name of your employer, principal of the school or college or head of the department. Your future employer will contact these people and will talk with them about your experience, capabilities and your performance. In a way, it makes more sense to only add the references of people who you trust would recommend you to a potential employer.
